Hello everyone. The topic is social psychology in this week, so my Tedtalk is why we all need to practice emotional first aid. The speaker is Guy Winch, who is a psychologist in British. After watching the Tedtalk, I hope you have new aspect about the psychology.

  2. 2.How did you adjust your emotion when you faced rejection, failure or longlines?
    well, when I faced rejection, failure or long-lines, I would like to read some books,go to gym, and plan to travelling. Also I will call my friends to help me.

    1. Michelle, I agree with your opinion. The best way to forget bad feelings is to go outside and to work out or meet friends. For me, talking with friends is the best way!

    yes,I think healthy emotion will help people enjoy life better. people need emotion management mean when we suffer, we need to control our emotion. but sometimes it is very hard for us to control our emotion by ourselves. maybe we need psychologist to help us to manage our emotion.

    Yes, I do think that healthy emotions will help people enjoy better life because recent researches have shown that it decrease the danger or heart attack. I also think that it can help us enjoy a better life as it offers as an opportunity to become more social with others.

    Yes, of course, because it will enable me to live a better and longer life. As well as taking care of my psychological health can let me hold my strengths even if i get older.

  6. 2. How did you adjust your emotion when you faced rejection, failure or loneliness?

    When I first came here, I really felt loneliness. While first week, I couldn't sleep well because I missed my family and friends a lot; also because of jet lag;( Anyway, I didn't know what should I do to forget loneliness. I spent time with friends and studied, but it is not easy to control my sadness and loneliness. That's because this is my first time to live away from my family since I was born. However, I could overcome loneliness changing over time. For me, time is the only thing to adapt to new place.

    I think people don't need to notice the effect of bad emotion. Because they have many things to care while living, noticing the bad emotions is not necessary. It is enought to concentrate on health and enjoyable emtion. And in my case, I try to ignore bad emotion as much as I can because I don't want to spend my time to think about them.

  8. 1. Yes, I know psychological health is very important, but I don't know how to improve it. When I am in bad mood, I don't want to do anything. Then, just I l lie on my bed and spend time. Even though I know psychological health is very important, I don't know how to treat it. Visiting psychologist? I thought I don't want to spend money for psychologist....

  9. 2. When I feel loneliness, rejection, or failure, I just spend time on my bed. Then, I feel somehow better, I go to talk with my friends, play video games, or watch drama. Relying on a religion is one of best way. I usually go to church and pray, and meet an old priest, then ask what should I do.

  10. 4. The speaker didn't say what should we do for psychological health. I think I will continue to do my own method for my psychological health. I don't want to visit a psychologist to tell every my mental problem and pay money. I will get rest, do my hobby, talk with my friend, and rely on my religion. If I need psychological advice, I will visit my priest because he always give me words of sapience.

  11. 2- when I have to face rejection, failure or loneliness, I often isolate myself and try to understand what really happened and why it happened. The sharpest one to accept for me it is failure. Indeed, I do my best in everything I try and when I fail, I feel ashamed and useless. To face that I really try to convince myself to try again and learn about my mistakes.

  12. 1- yes I did. After a hard evens in my life, someone helped me to manage all my feelings and my fears. I strongly believe that we should not underestimate psychology health

    I agree with that because bad emotions affect our personalities, and with our first meeting with people we don't know, it might form a bad impression toward us. People should be careful with their emotions and believe that happiness is the best emotion.

  14. 5- yes, I do because since the person thinks about bad events he or she had, he or she will turn to bad mood. people would do things that might hurt themselves if they are in bad mood and they would fight with people around them. thus, this affects their life by regretting about the things they did such as, losing a friend.
